We stayed here (on our way from Swakopmund to Sesriem and Sossusvlei).
It's very centrally located, so you're close to the coast and the shopping center.
The building used to be a resort for marines and later a school, but has now been completely renovated.
The rooms are very clean and have every comfort (and a very good shower).
The beds are a bit narrow, but quite okay, and sleep wonderfully.
The breakfast is very well prepared, and you can ask the staff for anything; nothing is too much trouble. They offer the classics (toast, eggs and bacon, muesli, fruit, etc.).
We also asked the chef to make us some takeaway sandwiches to take with us, and they were happy to do so (for an extra fee, of course).
The decor of the breakfast room, which also serves as a lounge, is a bit sparse and could be a bit more inviting, but after all, you're not staying in a 5-star hotel in Monaco. The price-quality ratio is absolutely fantastic, with a special mention for the exceptionally helpful and friendly staff!
If we return to the area, we will definitely book another stay at the Desert Coast Hotel.
If you're looking for a delicious dinner or lunch nearby, we highly recommend Restaurant Godenfang, a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
